Big Baby Bed

Since Rogue is rapidly growing and starting to move a little we have decided its time to start introducing her crib. She sleeps in a crib when my mom has her and does just fine so I thought this would be no problem. Today was the first time I put her down in it and she only lasted about 10 minutes. I went in and got her and rocked her back to sleepyness and started over. That time it lasted maybe a half hour so started over with the rocking again until she was almost asleep. Now its been anothetr 20 minutes so we will see how this goes. Rogue won't be sleeping in her crib in the evenings yet. As much as I want her out of our room (I can't believe I'm saying that) until she drops her 4a.m. feeding she will be in her bassinet. Or until she out grows it which won't be long from now.

We also had her 8 week well child visit which went well. She weighed in at 12lbs 5oz and was 23 inches. Both in the 75th percentile. I don't remember her head measurements but she was almost in the 50th percentile. Rogue also got four vaccines today, 3 pokes, and 1 oral. I will say that she handled them quite well. She cried for a minute but as soon as I loaded her up in the car seat and started walking she was sound asleep.

8 weeks

Baby bump you are 8 weeks old! I cannot believe how much you have changed in such a short period of time. You have come into our lives and changed them so completely. Everyone always told us how our lives would change once you entered the world, never would I have imagined it changing it the way it did. Everyday I relive the moment I had you. I remember it so clearly. It was the most amazing experience. It seems that you are getting less and less fussy lately. I don't know if its just you growing up a bit or its just me and dad knowing what you want when you cry. You smile and coo so much now and I can't wait to hear your first laugh. Your dad and I constantly say how cute you are and how advanced you are for your age. I never thought we would be "those parents" but we totally are and I wouldn't change it for anything.
